She received an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Studio Art from Clark University, and an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She has acted as the Curator for the Desotorow Gallery in Savannah, GA and was the Regional Coordinator for the Flash Forward Festival on behalf of the Magenta Foundation. Muldowney is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Boston College, and teaches at Lesley University Art + Design and Boston University. Her work has been exhibited and published Nationally and Internationally. She is the recipient of the 2013 Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowship and a PDN 30 Photographer to watch for 2014. Walker Associate Curator of American Art at the Addison Gallery of American Art at Phillips Academy, Andover. Since joining the Addison in October 2018, Wilkins has curated a number of exhibitions, including A Wildness Distant from Ourselves: Art and Ecology in 19th-Century America and an upcoming retrospective of the photographer and conceptual artist Rosamond Purcell. Prior to joining the Addison in October of 2018 Wilkins served as the Assistant Curator for Exhibitions and Research at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem for three years. In this role at the Peabody Essex Museum, Wilkins helped organize a number of exhibtions, including, most recently, Sally Mann: A Thousand Crossings (co-organized with the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C.), Japanomania!: Japanese Art Goes West, and Samuel F. B. Morse’s Gallery of the Louvre and the Art of Invention.
